Award Winning & Successfully Trialed Program
Successfully trialed
Phonica has undergone an independent trial with successful results.
The analysis and supervision was by Dr Frances Martin from the University of Tasmania, an experienced educational psychologist with an international reputation in reading acquisition.
Twenty-two children participated, on word-recognition and phonological decoding skills prior to commencement and approximately three months later.
Frances Martin concludes:
"Overall, the Phonica program seems to result in an increase in decoding skills in all children in the program. Given the diverse nature of the group, the wide age range and spread of reading abilities, this is an excellent outcome."
