Our commitment and guarantee to you.

Phonica Pty Limited ("PHONICA") is committed to the ongoing excellence of its literacy programs and believes literacy is a skill to which you adapt your life. PHONICA strives to provide the world's finest literacy computer programs for students who are in the early stages of literacy development or require the basic foundation of literacy to be rebuilt. PHONICA's programs have been reviewed and trialed and have been successful in improving reading, spelling and comprehension.

Our guarantee to you.

We want to make your decision to purchase PHONICA's literacy programs a positive decision and a positive investment in your children's future education. PHONICA therefore guarantees that your child's literacy performance will improve through his or her proper and regular utilisation of the PHONICA literacy program. Should your child's reading, spelling and comprehension not improve after your child has used PHONICA's literacy program regularly and in accordance with our instructions over three (3) months from the time of installation, PHONICA will pay for the literacy tuition for your child with a qualified English teacher at your home or at a recognised English learning centre chosen by you. The value of the literacy tuition will be ninety percent (90%) of the original purchase price of your PHONICA literacy program. PHONICA will arrange for those lessons to be billed to PHONICA directly.

Terms of the guarantee.

This guarantee which is subject to the "Terms of Guarantee" and "Conditions", covers students from the age of six (6) who are in the early stages of literacy development and students who require the basic foundation of literacy to be rebuilt.:-

  1. To comply with the guarantee, I/we accept responsibility for the Conditions listed below. I/we also agree to co-operate with PHONICA Monitoring Centre to assist my children achieve the guaranteed improved performance.
  2. PHONICA's guarantee is dependent on the student properly utilising the program as per guidelines given. PHONICA makes no guarantee for improved performance not being achieved if the program has not been properly utilised.
  3. This guarantee does not cover computer problems or lack of use by a student for any reason whatsoever.
  4. This document constitutes the entire Guarantee. No change in this Guarantee shall be valid unless approved in writing by a Director of PHONICA and is to be endorsed hereon or attached hereto. No consultant or agent has authority to change this guarantee or to waive any of its conditions either verbally or in writing.
  5. If this contract document is not correctly signed, this guarantee is null and void.
  6. If the purchase was the subject of a separate finance contract, that contract must continue to be honoured.

Conditions.

Students must:

  1. Use the program for a minimum of 4 times a week for a minimum of 30 minutes each time, excluding the Custom Content. Students who utilise the program in excess of these minimum times should achieve greater and faster improvements.
    NB: The Reports system in the program records each time and the duration the student works on exercises.
  2. Call the PHONICA Helpline and Monitoring Centre whenever they experience any difficulties or frustrations with their progress on or the utilisation of the program and follow the guidelines/advice given.
  3. Immediately report any difficulty with using the program to PHONICA and follow any guidelines/advice given by PHONICA. If the problem persists this needs to be confirmed in writing, by a parent or legal guardian, at the earliest possible time.
  4. Either fax or mail to PHONICA on the above contact details - (a) The 7-14 day "Start Up Response Form" & (b) The "2 Month Student Response Form" & (c) A print out of the scores on a weekly basis during the Guarantee period. ALL documents must be sent at the times prescribed. We recommend you continue submitting scores, on a monthly basis, after the Guarantee period.
